Rainy Day?? Have a scavenger hunt!

Make a list of 5-10 household items such as paperclips, spoons, cups rubber bands, etc.

Hide them in various areas of your house. 

If your child is young or doesn't have great "seeking"

skills limit your hiding to one room!

Give your child clues as to where the items are hidden that

they can relate to such as,

"where we eat dinner" for under the table...

Once your child has found all the items, have a special prize for them!

Here's a fun activity from last month adapted

for St. Patrick's Day!

Playdough

2 cups of flour

4 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 cup salt

1 1/2-2 cups boiling water

3-4 Tablespoons vegetable oil

Food coloring-GREEN!

Add oil and food coloring to boiling water.  Combine remaining

ingredients and mix well.  Knead dough until smooth.

Store in airtight container.

For St. Patrick's Day, make the dough GREEN and cut

out Shamrocks with cookie cutters!
