Course Description:
This is a clinical handling course with emphasis on improving handling skills to address specific impairments that impact functional tasks in children with motor control limitations. The participant will be exposed to the NDT assessment model, task analysis, facilitation techniques and integration of these principals into a treatment plan.
This course will be especially helpful to the therapist working with the young child with limited skills who requires hands on to learn new tasks. The days have been split to allow OTs and PTs to choose a focus day, however, the middle day covering the trunk is recommended for all disciplines. Of course, all three days will provide the most comprehensive experience!
This course will include didactic information, LAB and video presentations.
