Course Description:
This course is designed for the physical therapist seeking a basic understanding of sensory integration and how to integrate SI theory into their physical therapy practice. This course is very attractive to the physical therapist working with children who have problems with modulation, regulation, and organization that impacts their physical functioning or treatment sessions. Course material will focus on basic concepts of theory, assessment and treatment of sensory integration dysfunctions as they relate to a variety of diagnostic categories addressed by the physical therapist. There will be a physical therapist consulting during the course to assist with the integration of the information.
